 The following is an official statement from World Championship Wrestling regarding the demotion of Eric Bischoff.
"Dr Harvey Schiller is pleased to announce the promotion of Bill Busch to executive vice president of WCW. Effective immediately, he will assume complete oversight of the day-to-day business and creative operations of WCW. Information on Eric Bischoff's role in the organization will be shared in the coming weeks."

Longtime WCW Television Producer Craig Leathers will be assuming
Bischoff's end of the creative duties. While the scope of the position
is still undetermined, this propels Leathers into one of the top powers
in the business.
The biggest surprise on the list was Mikey Whipwreck. Mikey who has only been with the company for about 9 months has never really made an impact. Mikey left Extreme Championship Wrestling to come to WCW and left on good terms. This is very good for Mikey because now he could go back if both sides could work something out.
