WWF SUNDAY NIGHT HEAT
Opening
The history between Shane/Stephanie McMahon, including the marriage proposal and acceptance was shown. Michael Cole interviewed Stephanie who said that brother Shane will have to get over it, because "Andrew" is the man of her dreams and she is going to marry him.
--Once again, all of the clips were put to the background music of various recording artists.
--Chris Jericho's debut and all of his antics since were aired.
--The problems that Al Snow has experienced in the past, most recently with the Bossman was shown, followed by a message sponsored by the Al Snow and Pepper foundation in which Snow begged the Bossman to return Pepper.
--Many WWF superstars including D'Lo Brown, Steve Austin, The Rock, RoadDogg and the Bossman discussed the now infamous fall that the Mankind took off the top of the Hell In A Cell Match against the Undertaker at King of the Ring 1997. The Undertaker said he would be willing to do it again, while Mankind said that he is flattered by the attention it received, but said there are other things he has done in his career.
--The clips were shown of the "plan" put in place by Debra, Jeff Jarrett and Mark Henry. Also shown was the arrival of Miss Kitty who told Michael Cole was to assist "Miss Debra" the "Genius" in anything that she needs including shopping, manicures, and pedicures. The problems between Chyna and Mr. Ass revolving around the open contract that Jarrett signed was shown.
--HHH's road to the WWF title and HBK rejoining his old DX mate was shown. Michael Cole asked HBK why? Michaels replied by saying that the WWF didnt have the guts to punish him when he was the man in the WWF, instead, they took it out on HHH. The commish said that on SmackDown, they took it out on the WWF. The commisioner and the owner (Shane -O- Mac) said that they could pretty much guarantee that the belt would stay around HHH's waist. On a side note, Michaels said that he wasnt going to used a cliche like "Friends 4 Life", but instead that he, HHH and Chyna have always been friends and will be until the end.
--Just a reminder, RAW is WAR begins at 11 Eastern tomorrow night due to the U.S. Open tennis tournament.
--Various clips, with musical accompaniment from past television and pay per view shows were aired.
Ricks Comments:
--I only have two things to say:
1) Has the idea of actually wrestling become obsolete?
2) As sad is it may seem, I would be willing to bet that these clip filled Sunday Night Heat's could defeat a live edition of WCW Thunder in the ratings.
